Peace and Quiet

Just as Boss was getting ready to walk out the door this morning, a breaker tripped, turning off all the computers in the house, including mine.  I restarted mine easily enough, but couldn't revive the server in the office.  This was not a huge problem for me, since I had uploaded my work files to Google Documents and Spreadsheets, so I wasn't very concerned about accessing my other files and programs immediately.

After he departed, I noticed how quiet it is in the house now.  I had never paid any attention to how much noise was generated by his two machines, and the window fan that runs constantly, to try to draw out some of the smoke that he loves to generate.

All the noise will return when he gets home, but for now...my ears are getting a nice break.  The only sounds I care for right now, are Slim's purring, and an instant message or two from my favorite folks!

It's nice to be able to hear myself think...oh, I forgot, I'm not supposed to think, or so Boss says ;)
